It’s nearly summer on the Crystal Coast, and like most coastal areas, the fishing season is well underway. The weather, scenery, and lively coastal community come together to create one of the most pleasant places along the eastern seaboard. The fishing community here is passionate and welcoming, and with warmer weather in the near future, locals are anxious to hit the water in search of the seasonal bounty warmer weather brings to the area.
It’s no secret that the Crystal Coast is a fishing paradise, with events like the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City, bringing thousands of experienced anglers to our shoreline every year. The tournament is celebrating its 60th anniversary this June, launching the “Big Rock, Big Hero Experience.” Active-duty military stationed in North Carolina are invited to participate in a community initiative for the opportunity to experience a day offshore alongside Big Rock legends. Participants will be hosted by some of the most elite anglers, aboard a first-class sport angler boat, equipped with today’s most innovative fishing gear.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro like the Big Rock champions, or just looking to drop a line in during your stay, we’ve got you covered with some of the greatest fishing on the East Coast.
